Carter said, "I am so lucky to be alive right now. I can't believe I survived another near-death experience. I feel like I am a cat and I only have five lives left. I am still in shock over everything that just happened."
Carter recently announced that he's planning to release his fifth studio album in February. He also will be on a small-venue tour of the U.S. during February and March.
