AC/DC denies it will play Romanian festival

Don't go booking a flight to see AC/DC play in Romania next month.

The Anglo-Australian rockers have accused local promoters of "falsely advertising" them as the headliners of the two-day Bucharest Rock Arena festival, which runs May 30-31. Tickets have been available online as well as at various retail outlets in the capital.

"AC/DC fans are encouraged to visit the band's official Web site for a list of all sanctioned concerts," the group said in a statement.

The band opened the U.K. leg of its "Black Ice" world tour at London's O2 arena on Tuesday, with a second sold-out date scheduled for Thursday.
