Pete Doherty: The TV series

A Boy Called Pete is one of a series of animated books detailing the highs and lows of pop-culture figures, including Britney Spears, Madonna, Eminem, and Robbie Williams.
Devised by Peter Robinson, the tale of the former Libertine and Babyshambles' star has now been sold to TV, although there are currently no details about when it will air.
The book apparently follows the antics of Pete, who "sings songs and wears hats" and has a passions for "mind-bending drugs" and a girlfriend called Kate.
Speaking about the content of the book, Robinson said: "I don't think anyone could read about the life of Pete Doherty and think doing drugs is a good thing."
Robinson, who devised the acclaimed pop website popjustice, told the BBC that 1,000 copies of his book on Doherty had been sold so far.
The TV deal will also bring the cartoons of all the other stars--including Britney, Robbie, Michael Jackson, Sir Elton John, and Take That--to life.
