The Bloc Party singer has launched a scathing attack on the White Stripes star, after Whitereportedly insisted it was not his business to get involved in politics.
Speaking as his group prepare to release their new album, A Weekend In The City, Okereke said White was "complicit with the capitalist society."
"I was amazed when Jack White said it wasn't his job to be critical about foreign policy because he was being paid to be an entertainer.I thought that was treacherous because it's complicit with the capitalist society," he explained.
"Selling more records is the only thing that's important to him not provoking debate", Okereke told British music paper the NME.
A Weekend In The City is released February 6.
