MP3s: Dead Presidentz? Psychedelic Presidents? Presidents Without Brains?

Posted Fri Oct 24, 2008 5:46pm PDT by Ken Micallef in Better Living Through MP3

Since we're all embroiled in the ongoing political battle between good and evil, red and blue, and dumb and dumber, MP3s that match the mood of the day are in order, don't you think?

Now, I can't attest to the Blue State vs. Red State viability of these MP3s, but I can vouch for their wide ranging diversity and overall sense of fairness. I could even imagine a debate between the following artists on the merits of their respective platforms. But that would require millions of man hours and perhaps 1000s of lives, so for now just listen up.

As the mighty R. Lee Ermey once said when considering what a great thing it is to serve our nation--and surely this applies to politicians and soldiers alike, "The Marine Corp does not want robots. The Marine Corp wants killers. The Marine Corp wants to build indestructible men--men without fear," and "if you ladies leave my island, if you survive recruit training, you will be a weapon, you will be a minister of death, praying for war."

Let's all pray for Obama and McCain--Uncle Sam's best weapons!

Pinetop Perkins' 80-year career still going

AP
Fri Nov 27, 2009 4:03am PST

AP - Noisy crowds in smoky bars don't bother 96-year-old bluesman Pinetop Perkins. It's all part of his job. Most nights, after he snuffs out his menthol cigarette, Perkins slides onto the piano bench in some club and … More »
