Britney’s Smooth Jazz, Paris’s Hard Bop, Lindsay’s Ragtime

Posted Tue Sep 16, 2008 3:26pm PDT by Ken Micallef in Better Living Through MP3

An informal survey of the music contained in the iPods of several leading starlets, including those owned by Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan, finds that these savvy women prefer jazz to almost any other form of musical content by a ratio of 10 to one. Of course, this information was obtained illegally in much the same way credit card numbers are hacked from mass merchandise retailers. Driving around shopping malls in tricked out vans, radio frequency bandits use electronic "sniffers" to literally lift the credit information from the cash registers of your local Target, Best Buy, or Neiman Marcus. Similarly, music sniffers have cruised the L.A. neighborhoods of Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Bel Air to obtain the iPod source codes of our today's platinum pussycats.

I, your trusty MP3 servant, have met with these criminals, warned them that what they are doing is subject to prosecution, then coughed up cold hard Yahoo! Music cash for the following Britney-Paris-Lindsay jazz statistics. Following, in no particular order, are the top ten jazz tracks that make our ladies of the evening perform the dynamo hum. So the next time you think it's all classic rock, hip-hop or country punk for your favorite star, think again.
