Randy Jackson & Paula Abdul, Framed

Posted Fri Mar 14, 2008 2:42pm PDT by John Kordosh in Framed

For months, Framed has been affectionately known to our readers as "The Blog That Likes You." Now, we must admit, our official slogan will be changing to "All Idol All The Time." Like our parent company, Yahoo! Music, we've been forced to narrow our aesthetic into the angstrom range in a desperate attempt at relevance.

It won't be pretty.

This week, then, we'll be looking at the great new video from Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow." The single, Paula's first in a dozen blessed years, was produced by Randy and appears on his LP, the threateningly-titled Randy Jackson's Music Club, Vol. 1. Readers will be neither surprised nor heartened to learn that Paula choreographed her own dance moves.

It became the most-downloaded video on iTunes last week, so we couldn't be happier, or less surprised, to have it showing up in Framed. As always, we're really, really curious about what you think.

So, please: post like there's no tomorrow.

1 - "You've gotta goNow??!"

2 - "Heck, after sitting next to Simon, the wind tunnel actually feels mild!"

3 - "Pitchy, Lord.  Pitchy!"

4 - "Well, what the hell. When you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way."

5 - "Simon shot all of you?!  At the same time??!"

6 - "Why, yes.  It would be weird if the Bangles inexplicably appeared behind me."

7  - "Damn.  These invisible ladders are well-nigh unclimbable!"

8 - "Wait a minute... you're not Steve Perry?"

9 - And just then, one keen-eyed musician thought that another stomach-stapling would not be out of order!

10 - "Simon's?  Oh, like this."

11- "Paula... check it out!   Taylor Hicks' career is in here!"

12 - "You drunk again?"

13 - "I will be in the next ‘funny hat' Framed'!  I tell you, I will!"

14 - Gummo, The Sentient Bubble, finally decided to freeze the humans in amber for further study.

15 - "Our work destroying the culture of this world is done. On to Zzaflin!"

The song is contagiously fun, and the video is out-of-this world. Very good vehicle for Paula Abdul's comeback!

I really think paula and randy did the d*$n thang. I really like it, she shows that she still has it, and that is how it should be to be a great artist such as herself and randy. Although Simon at the end could have put on something else besides the same thing he has on all the time. Maybe a black dress shirt, some slacks or something. Someone please tell Simon it doesn't matter how much his wardrobe cost, his style is played out!

Everyone who downs Paula should take a good look in the mirror........can you now or will you ever be able to move like she does at her age? I'm thinking..........ummmm NO! Its a great song, they are both very talented performers (Randy with Journey and Paula in her solo career as well as her videos she has choreographed for other artists). Paula shows us what Older Woman have and can still shake what her mama gave her. Go Paula!
