Kellie Pickler, Framed

Posted Mon Mar 31, 2008 4:18pm PDT by John Kordosh in Framed

Good news, readers! This week makes it four out of our last six blogs that we've featured someone from American Idol in Framed! They say that only God is perfect, but--to be perfectly blunt--we're starting to wonder.

Ahem.

Even better, our featured star is our personal favorite Idol performer of all time--none other than Kellie Pickler, the Flower of the South. When Kellie was an Idol contestant, Framed was riveted by her performance of that one Queen song, the one where she was wearing that tight leather outfit. By which we mean, she sang it very, very well. That Kellie only came in sixth place that year was probably the greatest injustice in American pop culture since George W. Bush was denied a popular vote victory back in '00.

Now, of course, Kellie is a big star, and we couldn't be happier. Kellie has proven--proven, we say!--that any ol' "small town girl" (get it?) from North Carolina can become a great and acclaimed singer and not have to be a waitress. That's the lesson. This week, Kellie will be commenting on "I Wonder," the second smash single off her album, so do nothing but enjoy.

See you next week!

1 - "My fans say I'm bigger than I've ever been!"

2 - "And you know something? They're absolutely right!"

3 - "My manager likes to remind me that some gals may be even bigger...but I don't think so!"

4 - "I mean, heck!  I can't even see the ground anymore!"

5 - "And I used to be able to actually button this jacket!"

6 - "But I wonder if, in gaining something, I also lost something."

7 - "Nah.  Jeez, they're all so jealous."

8 - "It may be silly, but I also wonder if the guys have noticed that, in several ways, I'm different. Better."

9 - "I bet they have! I probably could've won that silly contest show if I'd shown this side of myself."

10 - "Oh, well. I guess I'll open the show with ‘Dueling Banjos,' as it were."

11 - "Boy, I used to think singing was hard! Standing up is what's hard!"

12 - "Still, my plan is to be even bigger. This big!!"

13 - "So I guess I showed everyone who said my career would be a big bust!"

really BIG!

Her unique soulful voice just really hits me in my heart. But her downhome persona is what makes her who she is. I simply love her! Stay true to yourself and don't change.

3. Sharee -
She is a very strong independant girl. After all how many people can go through what she has and then have to face it with millions of people. She showed how strong she is. Her voice is as per as haven. Keep it up and you will be able to accomplish anything.

Don't sweat it girl! People should realize that you are not a doll & you won't stay the same size at all times. Women have their ups & downs (on the scale) or their ins & outs (in wardrobe) but it's that great voice & personality that got you where you are today!

13. Clark -
making fun of people's flaws is so funny... oh wait, no its not.

14. Yahoo! Music User -
Their taking her and turning her into the standard cookie cutter pop queen little [profane]. Pathetic
