Eddie Vedder, Framed
When we heard that Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam's sensational singer, had a new video out, we told the team to slip that baby into Framed rotation right away. We're pretty heavy into cultural icons around here.
But imagine our surprise when we found out that Eddie doesn't actually appear in the video! It turns out that it's a song from the new, Sean Penn-directed film, Into The Wild, for which Eddie wrote most of the songs, and even played most of the instruments himself. Well, we were a little chagrined, and we yelled at our new Sri Lankan crew (Llewellyn, Warren and Cindy) for not telling us this was really a movie video instead of a music video. But we don't speak much Sri Lankan, and they don't speak much English, so there you go.
With deadline looming, we've decided to go with it, since the excellent captions were already written. And we have read the book the movie is based on, and it was great, so maybe the movie is great, too. In fact, we're sure it is.
So please enjoy this half-filled glass right along with us!
1 - "Hot damn! McJob, here I come!"
2 - "I'll just take this shortcut through Foreshadowville!"
3 - "Whoa. Gettin' a ride from the Partridge Family!!"
4 - "And tickets to my nude shows are available only through Ticketmaster!"
5 - "I'm just sayin', I dunno, I thought St. Peter's Basilica would've been better."
6 - "Wait a minute. He's not Eddie Vedder!"
7 - Like all mammals, horses like LSD the best.
8 - "I'll keep you in the right direction if I can, but that's all. Just... follow the money."
9 - It's hard trying to figure out the best way to honor the Who!
10 - A Framed tip to campers and hikers: be sure to approach these lovable, furry animals, as they only want to romp and play.
11 - "Hmmm. They appear to be hungry like themselves."
12 - BlogProductPlacement.com was launched to bring advertisers and bloggers together!

Chris McCandless was an inspiration...even if he did die. But hey, my P.O.V...
Eddie Vedder is an amazing singer, and that movie (And Subsequently this video, which is like a five minute summary of the movie) is amazing.
So, I don't [Nor do many other people]see why you are making fun of Eddie in the captions. I mean, just because you didn't understand what your staff was talking about doesn't mean you get to keep on degrading someone's work.
