Kid Rock, Framed

Posted Tue May 27, 2008 1:20pm PDT by John Kordosh in Framed

Robert Ritchie--a.k.a. Kid Rock--is a national treasure. Kid's been around half of forever, but he hit the big time in 1999 when Devil Without A Cause was released: it went on to sell more than 11 million copies.

Kid's music is an intriguing blend of Motor City brashness, country down-homeness and hard rock, and he's managed to carve out a weird niche for himself. His image was only amped by his recent relationship with Pamela Anderson, which ended after three months of marriage--because of, Anderson claimed, his "male insecurities."

So there you have it. With summer just around the corner, though, we thought it unusually apt to bring Kid into the Framed forum with his video for "All Summer Long," off his latest album, Rock ‘n' Roll Jesus. We're sure that, like us, you'll delight in Kid Rock's romp through northern Michigan's pristine lakes and beaches. It recalls an earlier, more innocent time that we'd all like to believe really existed, but was, in fact, a chimera.

Enjoy!

1 - Incredibly, this license plate was also disenfranchised by the Obama campaign!

2 - "Mine?  Oh, like this. Seriously."

3 - Aquaman's fourteenth three-pointer actually set a new NBA record!

4 - "Perhaps if I drink the rest of this low-end liquor, I'll be able to make it with a girl."

5 - "Flipper! Bring back my Tigers' cap!!"

6 - "Murdered Flipper? Well, maybe ‘murder' is a little too strong."

7 - The huge, black CDs are threatening to undo all of music retailing!!

8 - "‘Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish and you have fed him for a lifetime.' What are you, a homo?"

9 - The Kid vs. Yahweh smackdown starts with a brash challenge!

10 - Cowed, Yahweh refuses to show himself!

11 - The Detroit Tigers' recent pitching woes are, in fact, explainable!

12 - OK, Aquaman was totally on fire!

13 - And the Presidential Yacht cruised on to a better tomorrow for everyone!
