T.I.--real name Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.--shouldn't even be named T.I.! Way back when, he was actually nicknamed Tip, which he changed to T.I. out of deference to Q-Tip. Like most rapper/songwriters, the Georgia-born T.I. is way rich, has collaborated with Justin Timberlake, is a genius producer and is also an actor. The script pretty much writes itself by now. Did we mention the pot possession and firearms charges?

No matter! In fairness to T.I., we should also mention his charitable work on behalf of troubled youths, single parents and Katrina victims. He's a multi-faceted character, that's for sure.

His new LP, Paper Trail, is his third straight album to hit #1, and this week's video, "Whatever You Like," also hit #1 as a single. It's a catchy tune and an entertaining vid, telling the tale of a fast food worker who daydreams her way into T.I.'s life of endless riches. We urge more hip-hop artists to make videos like this--you know, with an actual storyline. It really makes our job a heckuva lot easier.

Important blog note! Holy smokes, readers--we posted a couple of captions related to David Archuleta's Mormon faith last week and inadvertently ignited a full-blown religious war! Right here on the 'net!
