Taylor Swift, Framed

Posted Mon Feb 9, 2009 12:09pm PST by John Kordosh in Framed
We rarely have a sense of outrage here at Framed--we are the world's most sophisticated blog--but we had to take umbrage at this weekend's Grammy Awards snub of Taylor Swift. You remember Taylor Swift...her Fearless album was #1 in the country for eight consecutive weeks. The one who's the American Music Award's reigning Favorite Female Country Artist. The one who was good enough to co-host the Grammy nominations concert and good enough to play at the Grammy Awards.

She just wasn't good enough to get a Grammy, or even a Grammy nomination

Why, we oughta!

Well, unlike other blogs, we won't take this lying down. Taylor, who just turned 19, is one of the great up-and-coming talents, and we'd like to take this opportunity to honor her for the second time in Framed. We're going back to the 2007 re-release of her debut album to present "I'm Only Me When I'm With You," another from Taylor's treasure trove of hyper-romantic teen tunes.

As you'll see, the video, based around some home movies, is as cute and appealing as Taylor herself. And, since we're so mad at those Grammy people, we've made this week's captions extra-special good. Take that, Grammys!

What do you think, readers? Do you share our shock and disbelief? Or are you incredibly blasé about the whole thing? Vote now!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                1 -- "Our dentist was also home-schooled!"

2 -- "Seriously, I'll bet I can hit him before he can move that rubber tree plant."

3 -- "Mad for the fame and riches eight weeks at #1 brings? Well, in that case she is mad! Mad, I tell you!"

4 -- "Don't worry, Flipper! I'll stop global warming!"

5 -- "Actually be in Framed??!!"

6 -- "And then the mommy cat tucked in all the baby cats and then the people spayed her. The end."

7 -- But would The Object From Space even mate with a human? No one knew!

8 -- "Well, darn. Perhaps you can't pan for a Grammy."

9 -- Satan, of course, promised many hit records!

10 -- "But Mr. President, that kind of language would surely lead to your impeachment, should some online source make it public!"

11 -- "And when you awake, you will seek out and bite the boy, Parker."

12 -- The Object From Space's work here was done!

I think Taylor is a kook and a nut and absolutely fabulous. We need more entertainers who are like her. She is not afraid to show her true self.

Well, first off, I think that Taylor's country is sorta like a gimmick, at heart she is a pop artist, and anyone who is truthful with themselves knows that.

Second off:
----------------------------------------------

"appealing as Taylor herself" Quoted from beginning of the framed...

----------------------------------------------
That just sounds creepy...Iunno why.

And now, for my thoughts on the framed...:

#7 ...If that is an allusion to what I think it is...this framed just got officially messed up...that;s just...ewww?

#9, nice...

Overall, very funny framed...though...#7, at the moment, seems very messed up indeed...

She didnt get a nommination b/c her album came out to late for consideration. She will be able to get it nominated at next years grammys. The grammys have wacked scheduals about when things have to be realeased so its not like they purpusfully dissed her. Oh well s*** happens.

9. KETTLE2 -
She is one of the best talents that has come along in years....better than brittney, better than any female singer there is...even my favorit FAITH HILL....
