Kelly Clarkson, Framed

Posted Mon Feb 23, 2009 10:37am PST by John Kordosh in Framed
Time for another #1 single in Framed, readers! This week, we're very happy to have Kelly Clarkson back in our blog after an absence of more than a year-and-a-half. Kelly was the third artist to ever be featured here, and her return is long overdue.

Our video, of course, is Kelly's great new song, "My Life Would Suck Without You," the first single off her fourth LP, All I Ever Wanted. The tune was digitally released about a month ago and had digital sales of 280,000 in its first week. It also shattered the Billboard record for "biggest one-week jump to #1" by going from #97 to #1 on January 28th, and the video has already gathered over three million views on Youtube.

"My Life Would Suck Without You" is an uptempo song and vid. Although Entertainment Weekly declared it to be "the best song in the history of the universe," they're widely known for their hyperbole and are scarcely a trustworthy source. It's almost certainly in the top several quintillion, of course. The video, which follows the love spats and making up of Kelly and her boyfriend, is peppy and kinda funny.

If nothing else, we hope the song and video help put to rest all the internet rumors that swirl about Kelly. Remember, kids, you can't believe anything you read unless you read it in Framed.

1 -- Hey! Texting 1-866-IDOLS-PLEASEBLOWUPSUN worked!

2 -- "But when you answered the casting call, what part of 'cheesy surrogate grown-up' did you not understand?"

3 -- "This is interesting. It says that women can't read very well and mostly just look at the pictures."

4 -- "Isn't that pretty? It's so pretty."

5 -- "And now, Las Vegas, please put your hands together for Mister! Justin! Guarini!"

6 -- "But it's been autographed by the Indigo Girls!"

7 -- "Alas, I have long feared the capriciousness of the giant, grotesque mammals."

8 -- "No, no, just listen to me for a minute. 'If I were an Oscar Meyer Weiner'...see, it goes up there..."

9 -- "They elected this giant-headed freak their idol? The humans must be insane!"

10 -- "David Cook wants to friend me? Yeah, that'll happen."

11 -- "But Tatiana was the new me!!"

12 -- "I told you Margaritaville wasn't a real place! Didn't I tell you?!"

Outragiously funny man! I really loved how #6 worked out, that was pure jenious (spelled right?/nosarcasm here).

But # 10 takes the cake. This is one of the best framed ever, but E! Weekly should shut it about music. Clueless.

John, actually, number 4 was a joke. I am always glad to read your latest Framed, because you are funny and witty. Kinda' like a thinking man's comedian. Therefore, please keep up the good work, sir.
