The naysayers were soon out in full force. Entertainment Weekly declared its album, souljaboytellem.com, the worst LP of 2007. Ice-T said Soulja was "killing hip-hop." Others referred to Soulja as "the Terri Schiavo of hip-hop."

Framed, of course, is sensationally fair and democratic; thus, we're pleased to present Soulja's "Bird Walk" as our video this week. The song is off his second album, iSouljaBoyTellEm, which hasn't fared as well on the charts as his first disc. Still, we're curious as to how our readers see Soulja Boy. Does his dance-styled rap spell the death of relevant hip-hop? Or is it merely a case of the old guard being reluctant to give up their place in the sun?
