Miley Cyrus, Framed
Hello, readers, and welcome back to Framed, America's friendliest blog. This week, we welcome teen superstar Miley Cyrus for her third appearance here, and are showing "The Climb," which may be her greatest video yet.
The song is from Hannah Montana: The Movie, which was released earlier this year and made over $122 million worldwide. Although Miley didn't write the song, we have no doubt that she's in complete agreement with its uplifting, feel-good message: that life isn't about the destination, but is, rather, about the journey...a stance all the great philosophers, except for Jesus and a few other guys, have taken.
As for the video, it's pretty much all Miley, although it features some interesting visual effects. Happily, it gives us our chance to write another dozen Miley captions, always a cherished goal here at Framed. Please let us know if we've met your high "caption humor" expectations, and let us know if we should continue to feature Miley Cyrus on a regular basis!
1 -- "I give up. How would I know if I'm in imminent danger of being swept away by a tsunami of massive proportions?'
2 -- Miles A, B, C and D sort of sucked, but everyone loved Mile E.
3 -- "I wonder if I erred in chopping off the fingers of my left hand at the first knuckle?"
4 -- "This isn't a real rose! This is an airbrushed, painted, fake rose," Miley declares, as Gummo stands by, ready to defend the Earth from a massive disruption in the universe's irony field.
5 -- Devout New Ager Billy Ray Cyrus was delighted to discover that storing Miley in a pyramid would keep her fresh for decades!
6 -- They would search endlessly until they found their leader, Ann Coulter.
7 -- Closing the show with "YMCA" has become a confusing Miley trademark!
8 -- "Secretly 28? That'd be me!"
9 -- "Paper beats rock?! Damn, I suck at this!!"
10 -- "Dad was right! Hell rules!"
11 -- Having to charge the ring every 24 hours is simply part of being a Green Lantern.
12 -- "I must leave you now, Earth! And though my journey to the desert worlds of Cygnus X-1 promises to be harrowing, I shall return with an even more lucrative tween franchise! I promise!
