Ashlee Simpson hit the big time back in 2004 when her debut album, Autobiography, entered the charts at #1. Since then, the multi-talented singer/actress has seen her share of controversy, especially during the much-discussed Saturday Night Live episode where she appeared to be using a taped vocal track instead of singing live. It turned out, of course, that the ebullient Ashlee had a bad case of acid reflux and had lost her voice, but her critics had a field day. Then, a few months later, she was booed by cold-hearted fans at the Orange Bowl when she performed at halftime.

Despite all that, Ashlee has carried on, and now she's back with her third album, Bittersweet World. It features a great new song, "Out Of My Head (Ay Ya Ya)" that we're happy to have as this week's Framed.  So call the family around to enjoy one of the strangest videos we've seen in awhile, as Framed, as always, brings you the little-known inside story.
