This week our foil...um, guest!...is country music superstar Brad Paisley, who's bringing his great new song and video, "Welcome To The Future." As well-known futurists, we were pretty darn excited when we heard about this, and you will be, too!

Paramore, Framed

This week, we're welcoming emo/pop stars Paramore, who's Brand New Eyes album entered the charts at #2 earlier this month. Although their first video from that LP--"Ignorance"--is quite good, it's not really suitable for Framed.

Our video this week is Miley's "Party In The USA," which (as we write this) is #2 on the iTunes. And, although the bar cannot be described as being set impossibly high, we feel pretty safe in saying that this is Miley's greatest song ever! It's an uptempo, feel-good number that talks about her transcultural identity while referencing Jay-Z and Britney! Seriously, this song works on levels that don't even exist yet!

Regular readers know we like all sorts of music, and, in real life, we like this week's featured band quite a bit! Our guests are Belle & Sebastian, the great indie pop band out of Scotland, and this week's video is their uplifting "Dirty Dream Number Two," from 1998's The Boy With The Arab Strap album.

Bob Dylan, Framed

This week, we welcome back folk singer Bob Dylan. Bob last appeared here in Framed #43, back in the days when Framed was really good...talk about water under the bridge! This time around, he's singing "Jokerman," a cut from his 1983 album, Infidels. The song is rich in imagery, and so is the video, which is simply loaded with iconic figures from history.

Speaking of funny, when we heard that Creed had reformed, we thanked whatever God we pray to and queued up their new video. Oh, we weren't disappointed, and you won't be, either. Frankly, this is something we can treasure collectively as a species. Heck, let's see what Rolling Stone had to say about the event...

That's why this week's video is Michael's "Black or White," off the Bad album. Next week's video will be a zesty, brand new offering from America's greatest reunited band, but--for this week--let's enjoy Michael Jackson's amazing 11-minute-long spectacular!

Oasis had one big rival back then: Blur, who were their major foe in the never-to-be-forgotten "Battle of Britpop." Blur declared Modern Life Is Rubbish by naming their album that back in 1993. And this week's video features a song from that album called "Chemical World."

This week, we're very happy to feature a video from one of pop music's greatest singers, Steve Perry of Journey. Our video--"Oh, Sherrie,"--was Perry's biggest solo hit, and made it to #3 in Billboard's Hot 100 back in 1984. Perry and his band were a big deal back in the day and charted six albums in the Top 10 in their career.
