Pop Music Quiz: Chick Rockers

Posted Mon Jun 22, 2009 6:00am PDT by Shawn Amos in GetBack

It's Monday and time to check your Pop Culture I.Q. again. I know what you're saying: "School's out. It's summer." Consider this summer school. Today we're testing your knowledge of chick rockers. For inspiration, here's a video of some of my students taking a pop quiz on the street. Yes, I quiz people randomly on the street. Some consider it stalking; I consider it a public service.

Now that you've had a little tutorial, here's your quiz. Since it's summer, we'll stop at 10 questions. You have better things to do than take a quiz... and I have better things to do than grade them. One reminder: Janis Joplin died so chicks could get the vote. And rock.

I got 8; I got the Pretenders' song wrong, and I've never given a flying hangnail for Pink. TOTALLY surprised I got #6 right! The rest were almost TOO easy - gotta love summer!

2. D33PPURPLE -
Meh, I got 9, and to allude to poster # 2, by luck I got the Pink question right.

Anyway Amos, that video wasn't very cheesy. In fact, well done! I don't say this often, but that was actually kind of fun to watch, good video production rgiht there.

But if you guys excuse me....I have to re-build my library. Some jerk hacked my original Yahoo! e-mail... _
