Michael Jackson's Fans & Neighbors Collide at Neverland

Posted Fri Jul 3, 2009 10:34am PDT by Shawn Amos in GetBack

On July 1, one week after Michael Jackson's death, hundreds of his fans gathered at his Neverland Ranch to pay their respects. They were also hoping for a public viewing which didn't happen. That'll be Tuesday morning at Staples Center. Maybe. Nothing's ever for certain in the Jackson world.

From a 16 year old with her cat "Billie Jean" to an 86-year old grandmother, Jackson devotees from around the the world moonwalked and wept for their fallen King of Pop. I went to Neverland to to meet Jackson's army and Jackson's old neighbors in the town of Los Olivos. I even got on my toes in front of the gates in honor of the Gloved One. Here's a video from the day.

42. David -
he was a fondler of little boys vendicated yes innocent no. you dont make pay offs if your innocent.

Ha! even the government recognized this as monumental. Congress had a televised moment of silence and freakin Obama made a public anouncement on the tragic loss of M.J. Trust me the government understands a lot of people are hurting right now and with good reason.

Ok..but do'nt forget that we here, all are to have our says..But the one we need to put our eyes and thoughts on is God in heaven, Without Him we cannot reach any specific issue's that arise in our daily life..God created micheal jackson, so we could have a good memory of one who touched our lives, and bring joy in our homes all across the world. Thank You Heavenly Father'.

Peter King should be ashamed of the comment he made. This is why the world is what it is today. I was told when i was a child growing up that if you don't have anything good to say about someone, then keep quiet... He is probably looking for some celebrity status.... never heard of him before.. He is not the one who is spending the money...People like him drove Michael crazy, so he had to take prescripton drugs, yes they killed him, the sued him and they persecuted him. What else does Peter King wants?

If you had a son whom you REALLY believed was molested... would you TAKE a pay off... NO! YOU WOULD NOT REST UNTIL SOMEONE WENT TO JAIL! It was all a money plot! Its OBVIOUS!

Who knows what he did or didn't do, that's for him and God to know. We're all entitled to our opinions, but out of respect let's keep it to ourselves and keep the comments as possitive as possible. He had enough negativity to deal with in life and not nearly as much recognition for the good he did, I didn't even know he sent ppl through university..Wow! R.I.P. to my childhood idol, the King of Pop, Rock, R&B, Entertainment, U Name It- Michael Jackson.

no i wouldnt but thier are plenty of people who would some have done worse with thier kids for money but i do know if i were innocent i would never offer a settlement. only a guilty conscience would. hell he admitted to kids sleeping in his bed what sane man does that with little children? Thier were even wittnesses to some of the lude acts. thiers to much weirdness for some not to be true were thier smoke thiers fire. responsible ppl dont put thier self in that position to begin with.

53. David -
God plz bless and help all the children he abused

54. dmoney -
u will be missed michael!!!!!!!!!!!!! rest in peace

55. David -
he will face the ultimate and final court now spiritual court

I see your point, really I do but you have to think: you're just an ordinary shmoe not the biggest star in the world. He understood that the media did a good enough job making him look like a freak and there was no gaurantee the jury would be objective enough to see past the media generated hype and let justice prevail. When you know your concience is clear, you don't care what ppl think of your choices, you do what you have to do to move on with your life. If I was innocent and in his unique position, I would have done the same thing.

i am not a michael jackson fan. i am a prince fan. michael was weird.i hate his children are caught in this fiasco and better yet i am extremly glad his father joe, will not get his hand on anything of michaels, especially, $$$$$ ! the lottery for those tickets was a joke only the people living in california got tickets. well how fortunate of me to live in gary . i can go to the "bootleg" memorial service the city will have for him on 7/10. the mayor here actually thought michael's family would fly his body here to lye in state. what a joke!!!!!!!!

58. David -
so you would be the kind person to put thier self in a descrimanating position?

59. Yahoo! Music User -
the day michaels family decided to send him back to gary to lye in state is the day your mayor of gary grows hair (LOL)

I'm tired of everything being a Black-White thing. Just a few African-American's are continuing to build racial barriers
