Michael Jackson's Fans & Neighbors Collide at Neverland

Posted Fri Jul 3, 2009 10:34am PDT by Shawn Amos in GetBack

On July 1, one week after Michael Jackson's death, hundreds of his fans gathered at his Neverland Ranch to pay their respects. They were also hoping for a public viewing which didn't happen. That'll be Tuesday morning at Staples Center. Maybe. Nothing's ever for certain in the Jackson world.

From a 16 year old with her cat "Billie Jean" to an 86-year old grandmother, Jackson devotees from around the the world moonwalked and wept for their fallen King of Pop. I went to Neverland to to meet Jackson's army and Jackson's old neighbors in the town of Los Olivos. I even got on my toes in front of the gates in honor of the Gloved One. Here's a video from the day.

I am so sick of people complaining of MJ and how much tv time he is taking up. No one was complaining when Anna Nicole was taking up all the tv time and she was nothing but a HO! Let the people who Loved Him, Mourn him! He is the greatest entertainment ICON ever.

For years I thought he was a pervert but loved his music. I have changed my mind about him after watching more closely about his family life and the emotional abuse he suffered from his Dad, and the media over the years. Hope his kids get the right thing for them and that he rests in peace - finally. Who took him for all that money that he could have left to children; and would have?

To those of you that might not understand. Yes, its a bad time we live in. We have war and poor economy. But you need to remember, this man was an Elvis-like icon. We haven't had a death like this sence Elvis died. Michael was a world class entertainer. This man sang and danced his way into our lives. So have some respect for the people that morne his death. And yes we do care about what els gos on in our country. There was alot going on when Elvis died, but we still took the time to morne his death.

I did grow up with Michael Jackson's music. He was great, that's true. Many good people die everyday, many children die, many people are sick, many people are dying with cancer... whi is it just Michael Jackson the most important person in ther world? He was sick (or not), he was a good singer but freaky as we all know... Let's be honest. Let's help and take our time with the living ones, ok?
Rest in peace Michael Jackson and let people think of all the other around the world who, for some reason, are not "michael Jackson's".
