Michael Jackson's Fans & Neighbors Collide at Neverland

Posted Fri Jul 3, 2009 10:34am PDT by Shawn Amos in GetBack

On July 1, one week after Michael Jackson's death, hundreds of his fans gathered at his Neverland Ranch to pay their respects. They were also hoping for a public viewing which didn't happen. That'll be Tuesday morning at Staples Center. Maybe. Nothing's ever for certain in the Jackson world.

From a 16 year old with her cat "Billie Jean" to an 86-year old grandmother, Jackson devotees from around the the world moonwalked and wept for their fallen King of Pop. I went to Neverland to to meet Jackson's army and Jackson's old neighbors in the town of Los Olivos. I even got on my toes in front of the gates in honor of the Gloved One. Here's a video from the day.

He Will Live forever in people's memories, even the ones who hated him. I am happy he left $500-$600 million for his mother and kids in his estate. It was a great thing to do. From what I've learned, his estate will grow about $2 Billion in the coming years, because he is not alive to spend the vast fortunes that will go into his estate. I am a 22 year finance major in New York and Entrepreneur, and when I die I too hope to leave millions for my mom and kids.

MJ was a great entertainer and certainly no one can take that away from him. I loved his earlier music and videos and believed you was good kid with alot of talent. But, something went very wrong as time past and he excelled. The fact is he never entered court on the molestation charges because he settled with the parents. I don't believe he ever had intercourse with the children or another type of prevert act but he did sleep with them in the same bed and it be hard not to believe there was not any touchy, touchy going on. Come on folks a grown man sleeping with boys!!! He took medication and other means to have lighter skin, he built a fantasy ranch similar to a small circus, it was a know fact he was a mommy's boy! Is the world that stupid?? Let's not use the common phrases , prevert or elvil but it would be safe to say that there was some mental illness involved. And I truely believe if he had lived there would have been more issues hitting the front pages about MJ and young boys. We will never know this and the fact is when you are dead you are dead. MJ will go on for some years in the hearts and minds of fans like it does with Elvis on his birthday. I think MJ's mother is a good soul and loving Mom , a woman with spirit, devotion and love. As for his father I wouldn't trust him with anything and the only credit he should recieve is causing MJ to do the bad things he was alleged of doing. He is the really the elvil one. Anyway I say MJ RIP, who are we to judge anyone because as we speak right now, as your tribute is about to happen in only hours, you are now standing before the one person that only matters, and can only judge, GOD.

its weird but important people die everyday or at least people that are important to somebody and we never hear of it. Why because you are famous.

His family is making a circus out of his passing.
Who and the hell gives out tickets to a funeral? or for that matter, who prints them out? I think it's absurd..

They should have just had a intimate, private ceremony with his kids, family and close friends.. MJ was a private person, so shouldn't he be given a soft, delicate and private send off????

No matter what you all say, Michael Jackson was the best.

Will miss you so much, but you are now in a place where there are no more tears, no more heartache, no more pain. Now you truly know what it is to have unconditional love. May God keep you ever so close. We also thank God for blessing us with the time he allowed you to grace us with your presence and love.

But you wont find me crying, sitting by his star on the Walk of Fame. Come on People there are more important things in this world then the death of an accused child molester. Get with the program

For all those talking down on Michael or sayin there are better things to talk bout then go talk, but Michael was an Icon his music was more than juz words, he did more for the people than what any of you could do. it might not have affected you personally but for 1,000,000,000 + he changed lives. We grew up listening to music and so will our children, He will forever be loved and missed. May god bless your kids, family & fans all over the world.. R.I.P " King of Pop"

Dude could sing and dance but the freak was a child molester. The children of America are safer today than they were last week. I don't see why people are so freaking upset over his death. You'd think we would honor each soldier that dies with as much hype as he is getting. Get your priorities straight people.

For all of those who thinks that the media is overloaded on MJ.
Well lets give the man his final honor which he deserves. We all are still living let us leave behind a life of good deeds so our friends and family will honor us at our DEATH.

I want to know if Bill N new Michael Jackson personally for him to pass such crude judgment about him... I mean MJ is the King of Music to me but it was not only his music ppl are praising him for. He is in the Guiness Book of records for being the most charitable celebrity of all time! Yea he was accused of molestation but if you have recently heard that the second boy which is now a man and his parents recanted their story. So to me I think his death will leave a tremendous mark in the world, and yes we should praise him because he didn't get to be praised when he was alive. LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!!

The same Ignorant people who are posting negative comments about him are the same one's who know most of his songs too. They are just mad and need to pray and ask God for forgiveness for judging others. If you don't have nothing good to say go and throw up your words.
