MC Hammer Is Super Bowl Commercial Gold

Posted Sun Feb 1, 2009 3:16pm PST by Lyndsey Parker in As Heard On...

A couple years ago, a Nationwide Insurance commercial depicting failed rapper/trophy husband Kevin Federline as a fast-food worker was the talk of the Super Bowl. Now we predict that another failed rapper--with an equally surprisingly decent sense of humor--will be this year's Super Bowl star.

Check out the famously bankrupt MC Hammer's new Super Bowl commercial here for Cash4Gold, co-starring the also famously financially troubled Ed McMahon:

And hey, Hammerman, if you're reading this...we'll happily buy that gold medallion emblazoned with a picture of you wearing a gold medallion (if Cash4Gold "can't touch this," that is). Just name your price.

Hahaha, very cheesy. Too bad it ain't a love song, or it would be on Amos's list!

2. sexysasha -
I thought the commercial was rather cute and catchy. Afterall, the commercial shows that times are hard for everyone.

3. Mooseberry -
Cash4gold will rip you off big time!! They are one of the biggest scammer on the web!! DO NOT USE THEM, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!

what kind of comments are these? about the ad, so funny, esp. since they are strapped. always liked Ed...'here's Johnnnnny...' & hammer's so cute. really funny ad.

That was a funny commercial. But, MC Hammer isn't really doing badly anymore. I mean, he ain't got 30,000,000 to blow. But, last I checked he was a pastor in California with a nice sized church and has his own show. That was several years ago though.

Why would I give my gold, that's actually worth something, to someone for money that isn,t worth the paper its printed on. I certainly wouldn't listen to some washed up rapper half-wit trying to tell me to.

Pretty funny that the commercial uses 2 real-life bankrupt failures who probably had to pawn all of their worldly possessions just to get by. McMahon's story is brutal.

OK, lets think for a moment, if the company has 3 million to put on a SuperBowl commercial, how much are they really paying you for your gold?
Wake up America!

That was def one of the better commercials last night

Suck my GOLD 4 CASH!!! Bankrupt idiots...I wouldn't sell any jewelery to these douche bags...

MC Hammer never had a church. He was having services at a church called Jubilee, Dick Bernal was the Pastor. His show was called Hammer and friends, but it wasnt his church. And I dont even know if he goes to church anymore.

very funny ad,stars are always a pitch for ads like this, normally the ones who once had it all

poor poor and sad when you get blessed to be a blessing then find yourself being made a fool of,shame always follows

Great commercial. Excellent concept and point well made in this economy. However......... I wouldnt deal with the company. No way you get a fair return on your gold from these dudes. Just sell your gold yourself. you know... ever heard of ebay??

17. Yahoo! Music User -
we were commenting on the ad which was humorous im sure noone meant to rile up a couple of obviously overstressed uptights

18. Knows All Sees All -
Gold4Cash is one of biggest scams on the planet. Want to sell gold - seek a local reputable dealer

19. holycow -
funny, but rather sad that two people who had it all have to resort to a commercial for a rip-off gold recycler.

Wake up people, businesses are in the "business" to make money. If you expect to make what it's worth from cash4gold your only fooling yourself. don't hate the player, hate the game.
