Usher's Divorce Filing Confirmed
Grammy award winning pop singer Usher Raymond IV filed for divorce from his wife Tameka Foster, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
After days of speculation of an impending legal separation, the split was confirmed when the petition was filed Friday in Fulton County Superior Court.
The couple that would have celebrated its second wedding anniversary in September is scheduled for a July 15 hearing before Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane.
Raymond and Foster have two sons. Usher Raymond V is 1 1/2-years-old and Naviyd Ely Raymond is 6-months-old. Foster, who was previously married, has three additional children from that union.
Unfortunately, the couple's marriage was met with scrutiny from the start. Rumors claimed that Foster left her previous husband to be with Raymond. Raymond's mother and manager reportedly did not approve of the marriage. And blogs dogged Foster, 38, arguing that she was too old for Usher, 30, and was not got a good match for him.
Raymond and Foster made news in February when Usher had to cancel his Grammy awards appearance to rush to Foster's bedside in Brazil. She experienced a heart attack before undergoing plastic surgery.
Ironically, Usher complained about media attacks on Foster during a stop at MTV TRL in March 2008 while promoting his album Here I Stand.
Just weeks ago Usher announced that his next album, Monster, would be released in the fall.

Speaking from experience myself go with your heart just because this one didn't work out doesn't mean you won't find anyone. Give it time whatever is meant to be you'll know it in your heart you'll find that special someone. It took me twice to find that special somebody he's black as well but has been more of a man to me than anyone else ever will be and hope you find what you're looking for.
