R. Kelly And Keri Hilson Wear Michael Jackson Jackets In New Video

Posted Sun Aug 16, 2009 9:02pm PDT by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training

R. Kelly and Keri Hilson pay homage to the late Michael Jackson in the video for their duet, "Number One," which premieres on Yahoo! Music Tuesday.

In one of the scenes in the 3-minute clip, the duo, who dubbed themselves R. Keri for this effort, wears specially made jackets that have Michael's trademark sparkling effect.

"It's in honor of Michael Jackson," R. Kelly said during the "Number One (Behind The Scenes)" video. "Don't nobody get the wrong impression and try to make it negative. I love my man. I will rep him for the rest of my life."

Keri added that it was only fitting to honor Michael in the video. "He's No. 1," Keri said. "That's what it's all about."

"Number One" is the first single from R. Kelly's ninth album, "Untitled," due out September 29. An unconfirmed track listing for "Untitled" notes collaborations with Flo Rida, Ciara, Tyrese, Robin Thicke, The-Dream and Beyonce. The Beyonce track is listed as a cover of Prince's "Diamonds & Pearls."

The "Number One" video was produced by Skee.TV and directed by Chris Robinson.
