How He Got The Name Layzie Bone

Posted Tue Jul 3, 2007 5:29pm PDT by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training

I always have and always will love and respect Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. But that does not make it okay for Layzie to go out in public without combing his hair.

I know the guys have been on hiatus for a while, but a comb and a jar of Blue Magic Hair Grease combined can't cost more than $2 at the .99 Cents Store. Can someone please forward this .99 Cent Store search directory link (http://www.99only.com/) to Layzie so that when he is traveling, he can find the nearest most economically feasible place to grab some quick hair care products?

During Bone's recent inspirational talk to 11 to 14 year-olds at the Joyce M. Drake Middle School, Layzie did indirectly explain his unkempt 'do. When discussing overcoming obstacles, he said that he has survived being "shot in the head" though he did not clarify if the incident occurred while en route to the interview (though that seems plausible).

Major props though to Wish Bone. He had some great words of encouragement for the kids. He stressed that while pursuing an education only requires a small amount of time, the positive affects are long-term. Based on the reaction to the kids, they got the message loud and clear. Good stuff.
