Diddy Says 20 Million Youth Are Not Registered To Vote

Posted Fri Oct 3, 2008 1:09pm PDT by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Hip-Hop Media Training

Diddy is upset that there are youth who are of voting age who have not yet registered to vote. The Bad Boy Entertainment CEO sent out a plea via his video blog, stressing that there are just three days left to register.

"If you are not registered to vote right now and you are of age, something is wrong with you," Diddy said, adding, "We are in a state of crisis in America. Our futures are at stake." He referenced the country's troubles with banks going out of business, the war, families not be able to afford college tuition and home foreclosures.

Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z have joined with Diddy to send out this message, encouraging people visit www.VoteForChange.com to register.

Maybe if our celebrities weren't spending so much on ridiculous cars and jewelry and actually knew what it feels like for the rest of us to have to survive on very little money and we don't have people waiting on us hand and foot. Screw celebrities who think they can persuade us just because they are higher up and wearing so much jewelry that cost more than our houses and cars and could pay for tuition for college.

if you are trying to go to college, looking for a job, can't get a house. can't afford to put gas in your car. have loved ones fighting in this bull@#%& #@$ war. young people have an opinion about that. this is affecting everyone. these ignorate people need to register and vote.

All these elite morons in the entertainment business only want you to register if you are going to vote for a Democrat. If you are going to vote for anyone else they would just as soon have you stay home and not vote! Most of them make me want to puke whenever they quit singing and start talking.

lazy people who don't really care about politics apparently will never believe.. if they didnt vote last time, why would they vote this time... i didnt vote last time around, but this time i believe i registered at the end of the registration process and rich people that i could relate to came from the bottom up so.... i believe they would of voted then..... and i believe they will vote now...... i think they understand the politcal process and how its works so thats part of the reason i registered....... i want my vote to count!!! if its part of the popular vote i wonder how much my vote would count........ but better safe than sorry!!!!

This is not a rich or poor, nor racial race. Its about who can really help America (US, us) in this crisis. If you do not believe your vote count look at California a movie star (which I like a as a star) is our Gov. and he have not done the greatest job. Make a difference Vote!

US= us
USA= us in America
MADUSA= Make a Difference for us in America

Original

I will make a difference that is why my new career is to Change Lives for All.

Thinking for the Future,
Sherrelle Clausell

I wish I had seen this before I made comments on that Beyonce fiascal. If you do not vote have no right to complaine when something you think you should have is taken away. See what most of you young people do not understand and what a lot you might call "the man" does understand is that in order to get things done in politics you have to have people in the public offices that think the way you do so they can vote on those projects they and their friends think are important and that includes taking money away from programs that could benefit you and your school. Celebrities are in the same situation, they were not rich before they became celebrities and they can make one mistake and loose it all. What they see is that we are all in this together especially now and if you young people don't get a grip you will loose far more than you ever thought you have so far. It is serious and it has to stop. And especially young African-Americans, you have the audacity to sit and complaine that no one has given you anything, shut up. The Civil Rights movement has given you more than you will ever know and one being the right to vote. But maybe that is the problem you were given so much you have no idea what it means to work for something. Try this one on for size, your family lives in a one room shack no heat or light. You go seek work but the thing is they say you can work for them but you have to rent the tools you need to work for this person. What are you going to do, your family needs food and clothes. You work and work, actually the whole family is working the land and by the end of the season you end up owing the person you worked for money you have not even made. Because people stood up and said we cannot live like this anymore we no-longer have this share-cropping idea of work anymore. What we have now is our jobs being sent over seas and we cannot buy the products that are being sent back because everyone is being laid-off...Now tell me why your not voting again......:)
