Fiddy Beating Kanye In Yahoo! Buzz

I'll give 50 Cent and Kanye West credit for keeping relatively clean this competition to have the best first week album sales. As 50's Curtis and Kanye's Graduation hit stores today, it is a good time to review the buzz we've been receiving throughout Yahoo!

We launched a contest on Yahoo!'s Bix.com on August 31 that gave fans a chance to pick the better of two videos, 50's "I Get Money" or Kanye's "Stronger." 50 Cent never lost the lead in this race and at 1 p.m. PT today had 12,854 votes, nearly 1,500 more counts than Kanye's 11,366.

In terms of Yahoo! buzz, things haven't fared better for Mr. West. Among Yahoo!'s top searched music artists today, 50 Cent remains ahead, ranking at No. 11, though down three spots from last week. Kanye comes in at No. 14, actually up four spots.

Both artists have two videos each on Yahoo! Music's Top 100 chart. 50's "Ayo Technology" featuring Justin Timberlake is No. 31, up 4 places from last week's chart. Kanye's "Stronger" moved up three spots to No. 41. 50 Cent's "I Get Money" debuts at No. 86, while Kanye's "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" drops from No. 81 to No. 93.

Also on Yahoo! Music, searches for 50 Cent and Kanye West are two to one. Over the last month, 50 Cent has remained one of the top 10 most searched artists, whereas Kanye West has gradually climbed from the top 30 range to the top 20 range.

If these numbers translate to album sales, 50 Cent won't be retiring anytime soon.

We'll have to wait until next Wednesday, when the final first week's sales are released, to see who actually comes out on top.

Both joints are good, but 50 has a slight edge on this one. I'm not even a fan. I prefer Kanye over 50 anyday. 50 got some extra weapons on his video and Kanye held things up on his own which should be noted.

I didn't buy 50 album...I brought Kanye.....reason.....not because I like kanye rapping over 50.....Its because I like the music(track) more than the rapping. I listen to the beat first then the words.....I brought kanye album beacause I know from previous albums that his tracks were gonna be better.......I still may buy 50 album.

I read some people comments on here and some of yall need to do what my momma use to say....."If you don't have anything constructive (Good or bad) to say, don't say anything at all"..........

50 cent better, really?! He might sell more records for all the wanksta's out there, but Kanye record is going to be better by far. Kanye actually talks about something as 50 we already know he got shot so what else you going to rap about? Also according to iTunes Graduation was number 1 and 4 on their albulms where was half dollar, pulling in at 10.

50 Cent is a clown. I wonder why people still buy his CD. How can a grow gangster sing a silly song like amusement park. As far as I'm concerned the first album he had is the best to date. Kanye West is versatile/ dynamic. He needs to educate 50 Cent(Haha) . Common the Grammy Awards say it all, Kanye is better.

50's smart, he knows when collaborated with Justin T. (major music star) he knows he would appeal to a broader public view. From people that like his music and others that like JT's music. When, as for Kanye he's on his own trying to appeal as much people with his own style. So the truth is this battle was unfair.

50 cent is eatin kanye! kanye got a couple good songs, and 50's albums have gone down hill since his get rich or die tryin cd, but who can top that album honestly? that album can never be topped, and 50 got tracks w/ timberland on the beats now.. 50 is by far the better rapper/ mc!

Kanye's way better than 50 cent! Sounds like 50 got the backround to Ayo Technology from a Nintendo game. Where's the creativity???? If he didn't have JT or Timbaland on this track, it'd be garbage just like the rest of his music.

I planned on only buying the 50 CENT album but when i heard the Kanye album i was blown away... Their both champions but i feel 50 will always be ahead.

Kanye's album is really good for those of you who can relate to his style and lyrics. I am definitely pleased with this brother regardless of his image the media is filtering through. This brother had some tight featuring artis. I ain't feeling Fifty though I liked previous music made by this brother. I have laid my money on the brother out of Chi town.

i'm sick of everyone hatin on 50! where is there a better artist out there?? someone try to tell me that.. everyone said he aint had nothing since the first album, but his first album was prolly the greatest album of all time in rap/ hip-hop! theres a reason why he is so rich and so cocky, and it's b/c he's the most powerful rapper out there, and he don't try to team up w/ every other rapper like lil wayne, t-pain, and fat joe do.. he does everything on his own, by himself. 50 is a real man, and a real rapper! kanye is a bull as baby who complains and crys about everything.. 50 cent easily!!!
