We Have A Winner!

Posted Wed Nov 14, 2007 11:45am PST by Lyndsey Parker in Led Zeppelin's Return Flight

We know it was hard to purchase Led Zeppelin reunion tickets through the O2 Arena website. If you were one of the 20 million or so Zepheads who crashed O2's server, we feel your pain.

But for Samantha Claybough of Hammond, Indiana, all is not lost! Because she just won our sweepstakes to see Zeppelin perform at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute show, December 10 at the O2 Arena in London.

Samantha has won the Zeppelin travel experience of a lifetime, including:

--two tickets to the Zeppelin show
--two coach-class roundtrip flights to London
--two nights in a London hotel
--transportation to and from the airport and concert
--two CD copies each of Led Zeppelin Mothership and the Song Remains The Same soundtrack
--$300 in fun money

And, best of all: She and a guest will attend a private dress rehearsal the day before the show.

(Omigod! WHY weren't Yahoo! employees eligible to enter? Hey Samantha, have you found someone to go with you yet?)

Congrats to Samantha--be sure to post your own congratulations (or bitter, jealous laments) below...

The generations after the 60's lost out. Led Zepplin defined that era and there will never be another like it. Keep the music coming at us!!!!!!

I saw them at Montreux Festival in Switxerland while at school there, and it's what I remember most from that time. Must mention Claude Nobs, the organizer of this festival, with influnce on it until today. He brought the act to his little cafe near the school where everybody could socialize with them. so I could not resist to try and see them again.

Greatest Band ever??

Hey guys and girls,

The Zep is without a doubt one of the greatest bands in history, but you all better put down the pipe and sober up a bit. THE Greatest rock n' roll group to set foot on the Planet was without a doubt, THE BEATLES!! And any of you who have listened to Jimmy Page in some of his interviews has said the same and even said that he was influenced by the Beatles MAGIC!!
