Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones: The 2007 Interview

Posted Fri Nov 30, 2007 2:46pm PST by Dave DiMartino in Led Zeppelin's Return Flight

On Friday, Nov. 16th, Y! Music was lucky enough to get an audience with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.

In excellent form, both very warm and friendly, the pair detailed the events leading up to the planned Dec. 10th reunion concert and offered their one-of-a-kind perspective on being lifelong members of this very phenomenal band.

We at Y! Music thank Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and of course their label for making this very exclusive interview possible. We hope you're one of the lucky people who actually get to witness December's performance.

Enjoy!

Zepplin was a totally sucky band live when they were supposed to be in there prime. Plant has been an embarasement with his lousy chops ever since those days. For him its always been about making money. Go ahead an bring on the complaints, but its all true. Check out some of the true greats left on this earth like Jeff Beck if you want to see someone that makes music for the love of making music. Trust me Page will give you all lots of ways to pad his bankbook with oppertunitys to hear how old he is an what a has been he is!

I look so forward to seeing the legend come back to life. I remembered the night the concert was cancelled due to John's death, i was supposed to be among the audience in cleveland, i felt as tho a part of me had died also.

everyone including the band has benn waiting for a long time for the stars to align for the reunion performance and possible tour. this proves the members love for the music for if they were after the money, they would have reunited a long time ago- a true class act...
