Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones: The 2007 Interview

Posted Fri Nov 30, 2007 2:46pm PST by Dave DiMartino in Led Zeppelin's Return Flight

On Friday, Nov. 16th, Y! Music was lucky enough to get an audience with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.

In excellent form, both very warm and friendly, the pair detailed the events leading up to the planned Dec. 10th reunion concert and offered their one-of-a-kind perspective on being lifelong members of this very phenomenal band.

We at Y! Music thank Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and of course their label for making this very exclusive interview possible. We hope you're one of the lucky people who actually get to witness December's performance.

Enjoy!

To cop a cliche from the Highlander..."There can be only One!" Zep has been that One music force for me since I heard their first albums in the early 70s (Yup, I'm an old fart!). Their instrument mastery, their variety of music, their tragedies and triumphs, their very existence...Many have imitated them, none will ever be them. Rock on, Zep, Rock on! P.S. I can't wait for the live concert DVD to go on sale!!!

I am glad that JPJ is back on the scene-- Remember when Plant remarked he was 'parking the car' at a press conference? I am include he was indeed included in further projects!

Jimmy Page looks like an old Chinese woman. JPJ reminds of Willem Dafoe.

Led Zepplin was one of the bands that really rocked the 70's and it's such a surprise to see them do a reunion. but so far this is one of the best interview that's done with Zepplin. they're one of my favorite bands and i would love to see them live in concert. no matter what age they are, they can still rock your "socks" off.
