Posted Wed Oct 22, 2008 4:43pm PDT by Martin Dio in Maximum Performance

On October 24 from 8-10pm, MTV will mobilize the nation to stand up and support our country's newest generation of veterans. The cornerstone event will be The Fight For Veterans, a two-hour concert and news television event that will draw national attention to, and mobilize action around, the amazing courage of our young veterans and the major issues some face when returning home from the war including employment, healthcare, homelessness and education.

Here's Kid Rock--firm supporter of the cause--performing "Warrior" to promote the "Be Brave" petition:

Great cause. Another good one is the Wounded Warrior Project. Pray for the ones over there, take care of the ones that come back, and don't forget the ones who never will.

A great cause and just a sample of some riveting rock music writing from Martin Dio, too! It absolutely recalls the glory days of Hercules "Archie" Bovis.
