SXSW 2009 ARTIST ALERT: Lights

Lights (real name: Valerie Poxleitner) is every indie geekboy's dreamgirl. She loves World Of Warcraft and gaming in general, illustrates her own comic books, is a sci-fi fan...and oh yeah, she's gorgeous, nice, and super-talented, too.

Something tells me this Canadian synth-songstress going to be very popular among her tourmates and audience members alike when she goes on the Warped Tour this summer. She certainly went over well with fanboys at South By Southwest this week.

Here's my interview with Lights, shot at Maggie Mae's just upstairs from the Rachael Ray (yes, THAT Rachael Ray) SXSW party. And this charming girl was just yummers:
