Lindsay Lohan Hits Back At Dr. Drew
Lindsay Lohan has hit back at Dr. Drew Pinsky after the TV doctor said Lohan was a drunk on a path to self-destruction during an interview.
"I thought REAL doctors talked to patients in offices behind closed doors. Am I wrong?" she wrote on her Twitter page. "Hmmm I think not."
She was responding to Pinsky's outspoken comments during an interview with Parade.
"I'm really convinced that something horrible is going to have to happen to [Lohan] before she really gets over it and embraces sobriety. She needs to give it up. And it's going to be a while before she does. I have this image that she's going to lose a limb or something before she does. And it scares me," he said.
In other Lohan news, Lindsay has seemed to confirm she is engaged to on-again/off-again lover Samantha Ronson. She was seen at London's Heathrow airport with a ring on her engagement finger and appeared to confirm the reunion on her Twitter micro-blogging page.
She tweeted today: "Leaving London but with my favourite favourite!!!-travel buddy&great news to share!! Maybe.... ;)"
Meanwhile Samantha has changed her Facebook relationship status from "Single" to "It's Complicated."

That said, Dr. Drew is a Celebrity Doctor, which isn't really the same thing as a Real Doctor any more: he doesn't earn his living by treating patients in a confidential environment, he earns his living by exploiting the frailties of others for the sake of his own celebrity.
I applaud Dr. Drew for shedding light on the elephant in the living room. It's obvious no one else has the courage to approach Lohan about her rail thin body or drunken/drug-induced activities, and if they are, she's obviously not listening.
By Lohan's comments, we now know that she has heard what the Dr. has to say and hopefully that will make it through to her sensibilities and she'll get help, or someone close to her will help her get treatment.
