Is Lindsay Lohan Connected To An International Jewel Heist?
Scotland Yard wants to question Lindsay Lohan about $400,000 worth of missing jewelry that she wore for an Elle fashion shoot.
Everyone at the shoot is being interviewed about the June 8 disappearance of a set of diamond earrings and a necklace.
As well as stylists, photographers, and makeup artists, Lohan will be contacted too.
"She is happy to cooperate," said her rep. "She hopes they find the jewels."
A spokesperson for Elle magazine in the U.K. played down the incident. "Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."
London police have refused to confirm or deny whether they will question the 22-year-old star.
"We will be speaking to a number of people in connection with the inquiry and don't discuss the identity of the people we are planning to interview," said a Westminster police representative.
While no one has suggested Lohan was responsible for the missing jewelry, this isn't the first time Lohan has been connected with missing items.
In January 2008 she was accused of leaving a party in a $22,000 mink coat she did not show up in.
The coat was returned to its owner Marsha Markova shortly afterwards.
