Michael Jackson's Body Lies In Berry Gordy's Crypt

Posted Fri Jul 10, 2009 1:32pm PDT by Terrelle Lee in Musictoob

Michael Jackson's body lies in the personal crypt of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy.

According to the New York Post, Jackson awaits burial in a Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills Court Of Remembrance crypt belonging to Gordy.

It is a sparse and empty mausoleum except for a large "G" monogram. It is in the same property as the grave for several Holywood icons, including Lucille Ball and Bette Davis.

It is understood the Jackson family is divided as to where Jackson's final resting place should be.

According to People.com, father Joe Jackson wants Michael to be buried at Neverland Ranch, where a museum could be built that would generate more money.

Jackson's mother Katherine and other siblings, meanwhile, would like a different resting place for Michael, especially considering his desire never to return to Neverland after he was charged with child molestation while he lived there.

First of all, we are probably not talking about a body9Michael Jackson's body) but about ashes. Michael was Jehovah's Wittness wasn't he. Don't they do direct burial, which is cremation.

Secondly, at least when Joe Jackson was Michael's manager, he wasn't dead. Joe Jackson didn't kill him, so go easy. I don't have a problem with Joe Jackson. Don't read so much in- to the media broadcast. Maybe some of you should give Joe the benefit of the doubt. In fact, Joe and Michael Jackson are probably more alike then you think. I am speaking of shrewed minds. Joe is the one that introduced the Jackson Five to the world. Joe Jackson is the one the got them ready for the presentation to Motown. All black people form Joe Jackson's erra need to speak up and admit that he may be mis-understood. Many black parents from his era had the same hard edge that Joe Jackson had. Joe Jackson was doing what he had to do to survive with a large family of, which he was the head of, mostly, little boys who would be men in a white country. In fact, Michael Jackson's business sense, and insight, being a step a head of other businessmen probably, althought keen, is what got him killed. So, unfortunately, he needed Joe later in life and couldn't connect with him as a man. Those of you that think of Joe Jackson as abusive, first talk to some other black men and woman from the 50's 60's and 70's about their upbringing. The American soiciety/media twisted what was happening in the Jackson home while the children were growing up.

Lastly, I don't think he (Michael J) should be left at Neverland. He didn't like the place. It had very bad memories for him. He told us that. They should do something creative that Michael would have done if this is about a place where people will make an annual patronage. You know, like Elvis Presley's home. People make a trip there annually like it is the MECCA.
