Producer Rob Cavallo Exclusively Discusses Adam Lambert Album
Superstar producer Rob Cavallo, who's worked with everyone from Green Day and My Chemical Romance to season 7 American Idol winner David Cook, came by the Yahoo! Yodel Studio in the middle of New York City's Times Square today, where lookie-loos and aspiring cyber-celebs recorded their own versions of the iconic Yahoo! yodel with the assistance of celebrity mentors (including Rob, Randy Jackson, Jewel, LeAnn Rimes, and Pete Wentz).
But when I had a chance to sit down with Rob, all I wanted to talk about was a whole other studio-recording situation. See, Rob is one of several producers currently working on the upcoming Adam Lambert album, and he also worked on Adam's recently leaked 2012 movie theme, "Time For Miracles." This was a guy I needed to talk to.
And so there, right in the middle of Times Square surrounded by yodelers awaiting Rob's guidance, I demanded that he discuss how he's guiding Adam's recording process, and give me some sort of album scoop. And thankfully, Rob was more than happy to oblige, even revealing for the first time some actual (somewhat Green Day/MCR-esque) SONG TITLES on the tracklisting! Yahoooooo!
Here's how our conversation went (song titles revealed at the end):

OMG, I'm so excited. What he is describing is what I've been hoping for.
As always, I f'n love you and wish I had sold my AFI tix to come to NYC today just to meet you and Rob. Green Day! MCR! Yes! I've been so frustrated reading forum posts by "Idol fans" who did a quick-ass Wiki search for Rob and found David Cook! I know Cavallo's work from Dookie, American Idiot and Welcome to the Black Parade. In fact from the first time Adam said he wanted to be part of his creative/production team I immediately thought of Gerard and how involved he was with every part of WTTBP. Now my hopes are really high that 11/24 will result in a major shift in the rock music world. We've needed something new for a long time. Let's hope this is finally it.
