Jennifer Hudson's Slim Chance

Is it just me, or does Jennifer Hudson look, um, DIFFERENT on her debut album's cover?

Seriously, not since Ann Wilson was electronically compressed from a size 16 to a size 2 in one of Heart's '80s music videos have I seen such a glaring example of what appears to be some sort of digital diet. Because unless Jennifer has been on Beyonce's pre-Dreamgirls lemon-and-cayenne-pepper fasting plan for the past six months, this album art does NOT accurately represent the real Hudson from the neck down.

So, this looks like one extreme Photoshop makeover. But why? Jennifer looks great the way she is. Do the suits at RCA Records really think she'll shift more units with her head digitally decapitated and then Frankensteined onto some skinny mystery body? And do they really think her fans are unobservant enough to overlook such a radical renovation of her famously full figure?

You know, Effie would not stand for this, and neither should Jennifer. Neither should her fans.

And if this really is Jennifer's actual body, then someone please email me the name of her personal trainer, pronto.

And that's the skinny, for now.

The reason so many people like Jennifer. Because she is a normal size girl. Not a plus size, not skinny. Just A Normal sized girl.

The labels and Jennifer have put a really bad light on the importance of being skinny in this industry.

Sure its a great picture, but I say Be True to youself. even its hard to do. I dont think this is right. If you want to slim down fine but try exercise and diet, not photoshop.

She used to look unique. Now she looks like everyone else who sings.

Jennifer Hudson is beautiful the way she is. In fact she's a role model for other curvy "healthy" girls. She has a lot of talent and proved she didn't need to be a size 0 to become a star. Instead of photoshopping her we should be commending her for being herself. We need more beautiful women like her, Queen Latifa, Tyra Banks, and Camryn Manheim to help end the body image wars us women have with ourselves.

Yeah they over did this one. She looks good as a healthy real woman. I hope she steps forward and says that's not what I want to represent. It's enough women out there that have issues with their bodies and she was bold enough to stand up and love her jelly. She's not fat, she healthy and that's all that matters.

This is terrible. Jennifer Hudson is one of those Amazing, Beautiful and Bucksome women who i adore - i dont know why she would let them do this to her.

I don't mind the new look. If this is what she wants then why should we care. Hollywood portrays skinny as in so why not give them what they want. I say go for it Jennifer. Tell people to stop haten, they wish they could knock 20-50 pounds off their behinds any day. Jennifer looks great.

She needs to be honest. Her fans are smarter than that and appreciate her for being who she is. fat and all. this cover is a lie and an insult to larger women.

Whether shes been photoshopped or not, she still is beautiful.

She still looks amazing WITHOUT photoshop.

I think its the wide belt, the black color and the stripes on the dress. Her arms still look like Jennifer's. Yes...they photoshopped it a bit, but I do think its mostly a trick of the angles and clothes.
