Top 10 Music Videos Not On YouTube

Posted Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:48pm PST by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Video Ga Ga

Warner Bros. Records' new videos playlist on YouTube is currently out of service.

Here is the way the page looks:

Lights "February Air" [video unavailable]

The Raconteurs "Old Enough" [video unavailable]

Metallica "All Nightmare Long" [video unavailable]

Linkin Park "Leave Out All The Rest - LIVE From Road To Revolution DVD" [video unavailable]

Faith Hill "Joy To The World (from her 1st ever Christmas Album!)" [video unavailable]

The list of unavailable videos goes on for three pages, documenting new titles from everyone from E-40 to Jack's Mannequin to Seal. And there are thousands of more missing.

Last month, the record label giant home to superstars Madonna, Metallica and T.I., among others, demanded that YouTube remove their videos from the site.

According to a Reuters news article, it is believed that the Warner Music Group sought a larger profit from YouTube, though the label has yet to confirm this notion.

In a statement, Warner explained why they declined to extend their most recent two-year contract with YouTube. "We simply cannot accept terms that fail to appropriately and fairly compensate recording artists, songwriters, labels and publishers for the value they provide," Warner said in a statement.

While some user posted Warner videos are still live on the site, there is no guarantee how much longer before they too are either pulled down or branded with a video unavailable label.

In the meantime, you friends at Yahoo! Music figured we would stay clear of the legal squabbling and simply give the users what they want.

Enjoy our Top 10 Music Videos Not On YouTube playlist.

3. justin -
Just another bait and switch ply by yahoo to get you to watch the videos or comment on the blogs. They did this the other day with a half wit post about Guitar Hero and Rock Band ruining music. They are just trying to rile people up and its getting taxing.

4. Shaun -
I don't see anything misleading in what they're saying. I checked out the youtube site they reference and they were correct. Later in the article they admit that user posted videos may still be live on youtube, but no one knows how long they'll be accessible.

Of course Yahoo is hyping their site - they've paid the money WB has required. But everything they said in the article checked out.

5. Debbie -

You idiots, read the article.

It says that they MAY still be there, but it is unknown how much longer the vids. will be in Youtube.

Sure, they may be posted illegally, but Warner Bros. Will probably scan youtube until they are gone. THATS what this article is talking about.

9. Yahoo! Music User -
Yes, the video's are still there. The article, however, is saying that the videos aren't under the Warner Bros. Music Group channel. Other users have posted the video online.

10. Yahoo! Music User -
they should have checked youtube before puting this up, I can find thease on youtube!
Jeez get your info right!

11. Missyloo -
Hey idiots read the whole article!
While some of these videos are still on there, Youtube has been taking down videos so who knows how much longer they'll be there?
All the Avenged Sevenfold, Paramore, Panic! At the disco, and basically all the music videos on the Fueled by Ramen channel have been deleted.
Oh and the My Chemical Romance videos.
While most users can upload videos on to Youtube that the offical channel deleted, usually its poor quality.
Plus they will probably scan Youtube till all the music videos are gone.

12. Xiana F -
paramore is everywhere and jason marz is definatley there.but on youtube they wouldn't be in good quality though maybe

13. cassy -
i remember when Live your life first came out, it wasn't on youtube, but now i guess it is.

15. TAD -

16. mcpeepants -

17. Yahoo! Music User -
blahblah comment

18. Risa -
First off, I don't see why warner bros had to remove all those videos. It seems pointless. They should've kept the ones the videos with users that gave them credit for the videos. It's they're claiming it as theirs. Plus by seeing the videos on youtube it will want them to buy on i tunes. just saying.

19. M -
This is so dumb. They should be PAYING youtube so that they can promote their videos on the website. Who runs their marketing department for Gods sake?! Isn't a music video a promotional tool? Don't they know that most ppl who actually BUY music watch more videos on youtube than anywhere else?

Btw... though yahoo video have the vids, it still sucks big time and is utterly unusable....lol what a joke. I'd still rather look for a low quality vid on youtube than watch the original on yahoo.

20. Yahoo! Music User -
They should so have them on you tube for marketing and isaw all of these on you tube ppl this is a major lie im so serious
