Katharine McPhee Describes Video Shoot Experience

Posted Mon Jun 22, 2009 4:42pm PDT by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Video Ga Ga

The contest entry portion of the Katharine McPhee Get In The Act music video sweepstakes is now closed. We will be announcing a winner soon, so stay tuned.

I hung out with Miss McPhee at a West Los Angeles recording studio this week to talk about the video shoot. Coincidentially, current Idol winner Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert happened to be in the same recording studio.

In this exclusive Yahoo! Music video interview, Katharine gives the rundown of a typical day on the set of a music video. What kinds of hours should the winner expect and Is it more work than play are a few of the questions answered in this clip.

There is also a chance that the Get In The Act winner could actually appear in the music short.

The American Idol season five runner-up released her self-titled debut in January 2007 and reached No. 2 on the charts. The album produced the top 40 hit single "Over It."

How is it even possible that she has another album. Is she selling it out of her car's trunk? This just ain't right. Sure hope I win the contest though...

Hi Katherine,
You are so beautiful. I knew you'll be successful than Taylor Hicks. Hahaha. I entered the sweepstakes. I hope you'll pick me. I am cute to be a part of your video. By the way I lost a bet $20 when Taylor Hicks won. But I don't care. I know you are going to be big star.
