Katharine McPhee Premieres 'Had It All' Video And Meets Contest Winner

Posted Mon Oct 12, 2009 7:51pm PDT by Billy Johnson, Jr. in Video Ga Ga

Katharine McPhee had a couple special guests on the set for her new video, "Had It All," the first release from her album, "Unbroken."

Lisa Singer, the winner of Kat's Get In The Act Music Video Sweepstakes with Yahoo! Music, and her dad, Robert, traveled from Brooklyn to meet Katharine at the video shoot.

Katharine's label Verve Records hosted the trip in August, flying the Singers to Los Angeles, putting them up at a fancy hotel in Santa Monica, and having them chauffeured to the video taping 40 miles north to the city of Saugus.

We filmed behind-the-scenes footage of the Singer's arrival and meeting with the newly blonde pop star.

Robert told Katharine he thought his daughter was pulling his leg in July when she told him that she won the contest and would be receiving an all expense paid trip to Los Angeles.

After Lisa returned home she said her two-day trip was "amazing," adding that "It went by so fast."

Lisa described Katharine as a "total sweetheart." "It was so awesome to watch them shooting the video," Lisa said. "The whole crew was just great and so kind to me and my father. I never wanted the day to end! :)"

Interesting - never seen a filmed winner on Yahoo before that asked nearly zero questions. Did Lindsey have any interest in learning about Katherine at all? It was kind of odd to see Katherine asking all the questions and potentially sensing disinterst, invited Lindsey to go visit Santa Monica instead. Oh well, I hope Katherine had a good shoot and Lindsey got to see something interesting.
