Posted Wed Jul 23, 2008 5:17pm PDT by Robert of the Radish in The Y! Music Playlist Blog

I thought I would jump into the time machine today and turn the clock back 15 years. 1993 was the year that:

  • Bill Clinton was inagurated as the 42nd President of the United States
  • Islamic terrorists attacked the World Trade Center for the first time using a bomb packed into a van
  • A standoff with a Branch Davidian cult in Waco, Texas resulted in 85 deaths
  • 19 American soldiers and 500 Somali militia were killed in a Mogadishu battle
  • NAFTA was passed

On July 24th, 1993 these were the albums that held the top 10 spots on the Billboard 200 chart.

1. Zooropa - U2

2. Back To Broadway - Barbra Streisand

3. Janet - Janet Jackson

4. Sleepless In Seattle [Soundtrack] - Various Artists

5. It Won't Be The Last - Billy Ray Cyrus

6. Core - Stone Temple Pilots

7. Unplugged...And Seated - Rod Stewart

8. The Chronic - Dr. Dre

9. Last Action Hero [Soundtrack] - Various Artists

10. Breathless - Kenny G
