In 1971, Jim Morrison was found dead in the bathtub of his Paris apartment by his girlfriend Pamela Courson. Although the official cause of death was heart failure, it is widely believed that he overdosed on a large amount of heroin that he snorted because he thought it was cocaine. He was just 27 years old.
The world also lost the great Louis Armstrong just 3 days later.
