Superior Genius Playlist: Vol. 3, Jumping Someone Else's Train
Last month I discovered the Genius feature in Apple's ubiquitous iTunes software and fell in love with it. To use it I simply find a great song in my library and click a button to produce an instant playlist from the album collection I have burned to my laptop. I've enjoyed these playlists so much that I wanted to share them with you here. The first list I did was based on a favorite song by Nick Cave and Volume 2 was based on a favorite track by the Beatles. For this Superior Genius playlist, Volume 3, I've selected an old school favorite by The Cure, "Jumping Someone Else's Train". The track is from the band's 1980 US album release Boys Don't Cry. I've always been a huge fan of The Cure and this early track has a more raw and independent feel that stands with the best of the band's work. I was curious to see what the Genius would come up with if I used it as the foundation for a playlist, and as expected, I was not disappointed. I'm listening to it for the second time as I write this post and it's clearly a keeper.
Which is your favorite list of the 3 so far?
