There are not many songs that can claim over 5 million copies sold as a single. And there are even fewer today than in past decades. This playlist includes 20 songs that have the biggest worldwide sales numbers, and were released as singles since the year 2000. All of them have sales of over 5 million units worldwide.

This is kind of sad. There are much better songs out there that none of my friends have even heard of. I'm surprised I'm Yours and a Taylor Swift song aren't on here though, they're huge.

There aren't that many good songs on this list, which just goes to show..the world has terrible taste in music. Well, not terrible, these are kinda fun to listen to, but they're almost all generic and none of them but Boulevard of Broken Dreams has any meaning or originality whatsoever. But best are always seriously underrated. Oh well.

Shakira is HUGE around the world because she takes a little bit from different cultures to make her music. besides the fact that shes looks gorgeous, writes her own music, belly dances, shes unique, and her music videos are always jaw dropping. umm yeah. i guess shes just perfect

I'm not one of those people that justs post to say anything horrible about people, but I think, and have always thought that while beautiful, Shakira has an awful voice, I think her videos, with her girating her hips and covered in goo, sell her records, not her voice...

'Hips Don't Lie' is one of my favourite songs. I also like her new song, 'She Wolf'. God knows why Mariah Carey's on there. All she does is squeal in her songs, and it's terrible.

The top is based in waht people heard in one song not the entire album, not what people like. Because I know i lot of people who dont like SHAKIRA but knows the lyrics of her song. I bet the one who tell Eminem knows the letters of the biggest selling songs
