Boyz II Men, EWF, Fourplay, 'Unwrapped' All-Stars Set For St. Lucia Fest

(2/7/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- R&B acts as well as contemporary jazz acts will take the stages at the 2003 edition of the St. Lucia Jazz Festival, set for May 2 through May 11 on the British West Indies island.

Slated to perform are R&B acts Boyz II Men, Earth Wind & Fire, Ashford & Simpson, up-and-coming Philadelphia duo Kindred, and Hootie & The Blowfish front man Darius Rucker.

Among the jazz acts scheduled are Fourplay, featuring Bob James, Nathan East, Larry Carlton, and Harvey Mason; English acid jazz ensemble Incognito; singer Nnenna Freelon with a tribute to John Coltrane; Grammy nominee Michael Brecker and his quartet; the Herbie Mann quartet; and saxophonist Mike Phillips. Another highlight will be a performance by the Unwrapped All-Stars, a live version of the instrumental hip-hop CD series featuring Patrice Rushen, Marcus Miller, Waymon Tisdale, and Jeff Lorber.
