"Feels great! We're high as kites. Having a wonderful time," Brooks says.
Dunn adds, "We weren't ready for it the first time around. We are now. We had 10 years to practice. We know what not to do as much as what to do now."
Their current Neon Circus & Wild West Show is packing houses and drawing favorable reaction from fans and critics. Brooks & Dunn have a decade of touring under their belts, but this tour was the turning point. "We are really relaxing and enjoying ourselves out there," Brooks says. "[We've] never had this much fun touring. The shows is really together. Always in the back of my mind in the past there's just been a little bit of nervousness about what could come unraveled on us and if a show doesn't go great in Dallas, could this ruin your whole tour? It's kind of like all that's behind us now. I mean, we're still paying attention, but 10 years down the road, it's time to have some fun and it's all working great, so it's hard not to."
The Neon Circus & Wild West Show features Toby Keith, Montgomery Gentry, and Keith Urban in addition to headliners Brooks & Dunn. The duo's new single, "Only In America," holds the Number 26 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
