(1/6/01, 7 a.m. ET) - Brooks & Dunn are scheduled to hit Los Angeles this weekend to attend the 28th annual American Music Awards Monday (January 8). They are up for favorite band, duo, or group, along with the Dixie Chicks and Lonestar.
Although many artists plan to fly in days ahead of time to prepare for the show, Kix Brooks says they're not going anywhere until after the Tennessee Titans - Baltimore Ravens football game. Brooks plans to attend the game at Nashville's Adelphia Coliseum with his family. "Our whole family, we pack up every Sunday and head for the stadium," he says. "It is really great. There is a lot of energy in Nashville around the Titans, and the whole deal is really fun. I enjoy it a lot."
The 28th annual American Music Awards will be broadcast on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
