"The first time we were up for an award--a duo award--the Judds won it and of course, Montgomery Gentry just won the CMA duo, so anything can happen and we're rockin' along. I think it's interesting they re-introduced the duo category, 'cause you know at the ACMs it had been duo or group for the last few years, which, honestly, it's all the same to us," he says.
Brooks adds that it makes no difference whether the category is group or duo--they just want to be known as entertainers, and quite possibly, entertainers of the year. Brooks & Dunn are also included in the list of entertainer of the year nominees along with the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, and George Strait. The ACM Awards will air live on CBS at 8 p.m.
