(11/20/00, 5 p.m. ET) - Just six weeks after undergoing liver transplant surgery, Chris LeDoux will head home from Nebraska Health System today (November 20) to spend Thanksgiving with family and friends.
"My family and I really appreciate the good doctors and nurses for all they've done for us," he said. "They've made our stay here as pleasant as possible. "I would like to thank my fans and friends for all their prayers and wishes. It's nice to know you've got a lifeline."
LeDoux received a new liver on October 7 after doctors diagnosed the singer with primary sclerosing cholangitis, a liver disease with no known cause.
LeDoux's 33rd album, Cowboy, was released on August 1.
