Flamboyant New York band the Scissor Sisters dominated music sales in Britain for a second week as they stayed at the top of both the singles and album charts.

Their single "I Don't Feel Like Dancin"' enjoyed a fourth week at number one while their album "Ta-Dah" remained in the top slot for a second week.

The camp rockers, who found fame in Britain after failing to land a record deal in America, played a free concert in London's Trafalgar Square last month to raise money to fight AIDS in Africa.

Las Vegas band the Killers remained at number two in the singles chart with "When You Were Young."

Schoolboy Chris Hardman, who featured in Channel 4's Rock School documentary, was the week's highest climber at number three, performing as Lil' Chris with "Checkin' It Out."

Arkansas alternative band Evanescence jumped 28 places to number four with "Call Me When You're Sober."

London singer-songwriter Lily Allen climbed 21 places to number six with "LDN," while burlesque Los Angeles act the Pussycat Dolls rose 14 places to seven with "I Don't Need A Man."

Also on the move were the cast of the Disney Channel's High School Musical, shooting to ninth place from number 45 with "Breaking Free."
